Village Building & Restoration, LLC was established in 1975 by James  (Jim) Whittemore. Jim, in collaboration with subcontractors, has designed and completed remodeling and new construction projects for clients from Maine to Miami during the past 30 years. Most of our projects have been in the Farmington Valley with a great percentage of our new projects being generated by former clients and their referrals. We specialize in whole house remodeling that complements the architectural period of the client’s home. We particularly focus on kitchen and bath remodeling. At Village Building we pride ourselves on delivering our projects on time and within budget while treating your home as if it was ours. We believe your home is your largest investment and you should expect your contractor , to treat it with care.

Careful, accurate estimating that accounts for all the elements of your project is at the heart of our contracts. When all the elements are included there is little deviation in the final cost of construction.

Village Building & Restoration, LLC is a member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry and the Remodeling Contractors Association of Connecticut. As a member of both associations for many years Jim is a Past President at the state level of both organizations. Previously, Jim was also a board member of the Northwestern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce. Village Building is registered as a home improvement contractor in the State of Connecticut (674537) and Jim is a licensed construction supervisor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (CS064727).
